Regarding the case of the Vice Principal of An Thanh Secondary School (Van Duc Commune, Gia Lai Province) being accused of abusing his authority and behaving in an inappropriate manner for pedagogical standards, on November 4, the leader of the People's Committee of Van Duc Commune said that the locality is in the process of verifying to handle and resolve the complaint of teachers and citizens.
"Currently, 8 teachers have submitted a petition reflecting on the Vice Principal of An Thanh Secondary School for abusing his authority, violating students' rights, and inappropriately handling teachers.
Due to the large number of complaints and the large amount of documents that need to be collected, we need more time to verify and clarify the contents, ensuring objective handling and compliance with regulations," said the leader of Van Duc Commune People's Committee.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, Mr. Ho Gia Dinh - Vice Chairman of Van Duc Commune People's Committee, Head of the Inspection, Verification and Resolution Team - worked with Mr. Le Van Dung - Principal, Mr. Pham Minh Trung - Vice Principal and the staff and teachers of the school to record opinions and recommendations related to the management work of the school's leaders.
By the afternoon of October 29, the Inspection Team had received 4 petitions, recommendations and accompanying documents from teachers L.T.M.P., H.T.B.H., V.T.H. and T.M.C. However, the team has not yet received reports from the Principal and Vice Principal, as well as the required documents.
The verification team also worked with Mr. N.N.Q (the person who submitted the complaint) and 8 related teachers (including V.T.H., H.T.B.H, L.T.M.P., T.M.C., N.T.H., N.T.T.H., D.T.V., N.T.T.T.) to collect more documents and evidence for verification.
On November 3 and 4, the verification team worked directly with Mr. Pham Minh Trung and Mr. Le Van Dung to clarify the responsibilities of the school's leadership and each individual. On that basis, the locality will organize a dialogue between the parties to clarify the contents of the reflection, before issuing a conclusion.
According to parents' feedback, at around 1:50 p.m. on October 2, when students in grades 8A3 and 9A1 were in first grade, Mr. Pham Minh Trung suddenly entered the classroom and asked the teacher to stop teaching, let the students go to the yard to clean up because the morning duty area of these 2 classes still had garbage and leaves. At the same time, teachers are required to teach compensation in the 5th class on the morning of October 6.
"At noon, we have to force students to go to school to clean up, while they are in first grade, this is an offensive behavior that can easily affect their psychology," Mr. H.A.Q - a parent of the student was upset.
Parents also reported that in a Natural Science class of class 6A1, Mr. Pham Minh Trung went to the class to check the plan and teaching equipment, then loudly asked Ms. H.T.B.H. stopping lessons and going to work in offices makes teachers and students in class worried and stressed.
In response to these reflections, Mr. Pham Minh Trung affirmed that he did not abuse his power or behave in an inappropriate manner as reflected in the petition.
"I only request to stop teaching and suggest that teachers consider the awareness and responsibility of students in cleaning the school. I did not directly take students to the toilet, only reminded teachers to do it.
In addition, I did not scold or raise the voice at Ms. H. when checking the teaching session. What I do is for the common work, without any personal factors", Mr. Pham Minh Trung explained.
