Saving the life of an 11th grade student who jumped from a dam and suspected suicide in Gia Lai

Gia Lai - An 11th grade student jumped into the Phu Phong dam (Tay Son commune) suspected of committing suicide, and was promptly rescued by local people and police.

On November 3, people and authorities promptly saved P.N.A.T. (born in 2009, residing in Binh Phu commune, 11th grade student) after jumping down the Phu Phong dam (in Tay Son commune, Gia Lai), suspected of committing suicide.

According to initial information, at around 7am the same day, T. rode a bicycle to the middle of the traffic bridge of the Phu Phong dam project, then jumped into the dam.

Discovering the incident, Mr. Nguyen The Vinh (born in 1977, service driver) and Mr. Lam Van Du (born in 1984, employee of Irrigation Enterprise 5) promptly rushed into the rushing water to save T., bringing the victim to shore.

Upon receiving the report, Tay Son Commune Police quickly arrived and coordinated with local people to provide first aid to T., when the victim was purple, showed signs of respiratory arrest and lost consciousness.

After T. was in critical condition, the authorities mobilized a motorboat and a crane to take the victim to the emergency room in time.
