After the exam procedure session on the morning of May 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) said that 15 special candidates were recorded at 10th grade exam sites in the city. These cases need to be supported separately to ensure their exam rights.
In which, at the exam site of Luong Dinh Cua Secondary School (Cat Lai ward), a student of Hung Binh Secondary School (Long Binh ward) suffered from severe blood infection, is being treated with antibiotics and cannot be discharged from the hospital. The exam site has reported and asked for opinions from the Steering Committee for the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City to have appropriate handling plans.
Some candidates encountered difficulties in moving due to broken legs, casts or musculoskeletal diseases. Exam sites have proactively arranged support plans, creating favorable conditions for them to participate in the exam.
At the exam site of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (Nheu Loc ward), a candidate with tuberculosis was arranged with a separate walkway, a separate exam room and a separate toilet area to ensure safety for candidates and those participating in the exam.
Many other cases suffered broken arms, broken wrists or injuries that prevented them from writing their own papers. Exam sites have arranged separate exam rooms, installed surveillance cameras, assigned two invigilators and assigned high school teachers who do not teach Math, Literature, or English to assist in writing according to regulations.
Cases supported with writing essays were recorded at the exam sites of Le Lai Secondary School (Phu Dinh ward), Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Dong Hung Thuan ward), Hung Long Secondary School (Hung Long commune), Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Ba Diem commune), Le Van Huu Secondary School (Nha Be commune), Le Anh Xuan Secondary School (Phu Tho Hoa ward), Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School (Phu Loi ward), Thai Hoa Secondary School (Tan Khanh ward) and Xuyen Moc High School (Ho Tram commune).
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, exam sites have fully prepared support plans to ensure that all candidates have conditions to participate in the exam in the best possible way.
The public 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year will take place in two days, June 1 and 2, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam. Public high schools in the city recruit about 118,500 students into 10th grade, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam have a chance of passing.
Candidates take exams in three subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English. Those who register for specialized or integrated classes will take additional specialized or integrated subjects accordingly.
This year, the exam is organized at 242 exam sites, including 226 regular exam sites and 16 specialized exam sites, with a total of 6,443 exam rooms. The city's education sector mobilized more than 17,700 teachers, staff and officials to participate in exam supervision and service.
