According to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), independent candidates who are ethnic minorities, when taking the high school graduation exam, are given priority points.

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Education and Training said that candidate N.D. T. is still entitled to ethnic minority priority points according to the regulations of the Enrollment Regulations for training majors at the university level and preschool education majors at the college level issued with Circular No. 06/2026/TT-BGDDT dated February 15, 2026 of the Minister of Education and Training.

Priority points for subjects (such as ethnic minorities) are rights attached to the candidate's personal background, not lost or changed based on age or the candidate's participation in the re-exam (free candidates). When applying, candidates only need to submit legal evidence such as a copy of the birth certificate, CCCD to be recorded by the system.
