Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) soon issue a document regulating the high school graduation exam in the form of a computer exam, creating conditions for localities to proactively plan and invest in facilities, information technology equipment and network infrastructure, especially in areas where school conditions are not uniform.
Mr. Huynh Van Chuong - Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) said that the Ministry is preparing a roadmap to organize the high school graduation exam on computers.
From May to May 2026, the Ministry will test on computers with about 100,000 candidates, and at the same time build a question bank.
By July 2026, the computer exam will be submitted to the Government for consideration.
October-December 2026: Issuing processes and regulations for computer-based exams, localities will arrange a number of pilot test sites for computer-based exams in 2027 and prepare to invest in facilities for these test sites.
May-May 2027: Organize testing of exam questions at locations expected to host exams on computers; Organize testing of exam questions on a large scale according to the process of building a test question bank.
June 2027: Organize the high school graduation exam on a computer at qualified points and Organize the high school graduation exam on paper at other exam locations.
