Accordingly, Deputy Director Nguyen Bao Quoc requested educational institutions to teach 2 sessions/day and arrange a reasonable schedule, ensuring traffic safety in front of school gates and the health of students, making it convenient for parents to pick up and drop off students (time shift, time difference).
The timetable must be arranged scientifically and appropriately, ensuring a reasonable ratio between teaching and educational activities; appropriately allocating time, time of day and week, suitable for age groups; arranging lessons for the first and second sessions flexibly, not putting pressure on students to organize teaching subjects and educational activities according to the general education program and enhanced and supplementary educational activities.
The school's education plan needs to clearly define the first and second lessons, ensuring smooth organization.
The organization of the contents of the second session must be informed, collect opinions from parents on a voluntary basis, arrange classes and appropriate times according to each content to meet the wishes of students and parents. The duration and content of the second session are implemented according to the issued documents.
The Department of Education and Training requires schools to review and arrange reasonable timetables and adjust the time for organizing educational activities during the day according to regulations. In particular, the 2018 general education program will not be taught on Saturday mornings for schools that have organized 2 sessions/day, only organizing sports activities, talents, and review according to the needs and voluntary spirit of students and parents.
The organization of foreign language teaching and IT needs to be implemented in accordance with the instructions. The school organizes selective educational activities on the basis of ensuring adequate staffing and facilities, suitable for the ability, strengths of the unit and the needs of students and parents.
