According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, as of 4:30 p.m. on September 29, storm No. 10 had killed 2 people. The victims include Mr. L.N.H. (born in 1965) - Secretary of Ban Thien 3 village, Trieu Son commune - was hit by a tree; Ms. T.T.D (born in 29, Tu Dong village, Hoang Phu commune) died due to a collapsed level 4 house. There are 2 other injured people being treated at the hospital.

Regarding housing, the whole province had 602 houses damaged, with roofs blown off or collapsed, of which 10 were completely damaged; 838 houses were flooded and 17 ancillary works were destroyed. In Kim Tan commune alone, 17 households with 63 people had to be evacuated due to the risk of landslides.
Agricultural production was also severely damaged with more than 1,500 hectares of rice and 800 hectares of crops flooded; 25 hectares of acacia and 17 hectares of industrial crops broken; nearly 2,000 urban trees and shade trees knocked down. Livestock and aquaculture were also affected when buffalo and cow died, tens of thousands of frog were swept away, and nearly 65 hectares of fish ponds were flooded.
Infrastructure system suffered great damage: 42 traffic points were flooded, 11 landslides on national and provincial highways, more than 10,000m3 of landslides on rural roads. Notably, the right dike of Thi Long River section through Cac Son Commune broke 20m, along with many incidents on the dike system and canals.
The electricity and telecommunications sectors were also affected when 203 power poles fell, 2 transformer stations were damaged and 1 telecommunication pole collapsed. The whole province has 14 schools and 2 medical stations flooded and damaged, many cultural houses and relics had their roofs blown off, and had their auxiliary works damaged.
Local authorities are urgently mobilizing forces and means to overcome the consequences, relocate people to safe places, ensure stable life and production as soon as possible.
