Given the current complicated weather situation, especially during the rainy and stormy season, it is urgent to check facilities and develop a disaster response plan to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan has directed the Department of Education and Training and People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently review and complete disaster prevention plans, ensuring the safety of people and property in educational institutions under their management.
Schools must conduct a comprehensive inspection of facilities and equipment, especially classrooms, department rooms, electrical systems and fire prevention and fighting equipment; at the same time, repair and renovate damaged and degraded works and equipment. Absolutely do not put into use items that have expired and do not ensure safety.
Strengthen tree management in school grounds, timely pruning and cutting down trees at risk of falling, endangering people and works.
"The Director of the Department of Education and Training and the Chairman of the People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for ensuring the safety of teachers and students," emphasized the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.
