In 2026, implementing the unified policy of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), the University of Economics and Law (UEL) enrolls regular university students using the integrated admission method and enrolls international joint programs licensed by foreign partner schools.
For programs licensed by UEL, the total enrollment quota is 3,200. This year, the school opened 5 new majors and specializations including: Digital Economy, Accounting and Data Analysis, Law and Technology, Financial Technology (Co-operative Education program, partially English) and Management Information Systems (Co-operative Education program, partially English).
The school applies 6 subject combinations for admission consideration for all majors and specializations, including: A00 (Math - Physics - Chemistry), A01 (Math - English - Physics), D01 (Math - English - Literature), D07 (Math - English - Chemistry), X25 (Math - English - Economic and Legal Education) and X26 (Math - English - Informatics).
In 2026, UEL mainly uses the combined admission method. Method 1 is direct admission and priority direct admission according to the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, accounting for a maximum of 5% of the total target. Method 2 is combined admission based on the scores of the aptitude test (AP), high school graduation exam scores, high school transcript scores... depending on each target group.
The common admission formula (maximum 100 points) is determined: Admission score = Academic score + Bonus points + Priority points for subjects and areas.
The admission subject groups include: candidates who participated in the ĐGNL ĐHQG-HCM exam in 2026; candidates who did not participate in the ĐGNL ĐHQG-HCM exam in 2026; candidates who did not participate in the high school graduation exam in 2026 (graduated) and candidates with international admission certificates such as IB, A-level, SAT, ACT.
The school notes that not participating in the ĐGNL exam at VNU-HCM does not affect the right to register for admission to UEL.
Regarding the expected tuition fee for the 2026-2027 school year, the teaching and learning program in Vietnamese is 35.8 million VND/year; the part-time English Co-op program is 55 million VND/year; the full-English teaching and learning program is 73.5 million VND/year.
For international liên kết programs licensed by foreign partner schools, UEL enrolls students in International Business and Business Administration (Specialization in Marketing).
The admission formula applies similarly, with a maximum score scale of 100 points, including academic scores, bonus points and priority points for subjects and areas.
Candidates who have or do not participate in the ĐGNL exam at VNU-HCM in 2026 can register for admission to these programs according to the school's regulations.
