In the context of globalization, when humanity benefits from both scientific and technical achievements, and faces environmental crises, climate change and the decline of natural resources, the tourism industry is facing the need to strongly transform towards sustainability.
In order to promote awareness of the role of green tourism in sustainable development, Van Hien University organized an international scientific conference with the theme "Green tourism and solutions to promote the circular economy".

The workshop aims to promote the close relationship between tourism economic development and environmental protection, while sharing successful experiences from countries such as Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and the country on the eco-tourism model associated with a circular economy.
This is also a forum for training institutions, businesses, researchers and local communities to cooperate in sustainable tourism development strategies.

The workshop attracted the attention of a large community of scholars and experts, with many scientific research works of high practical value, directly reflecting the key issues of green tourism and the circular economy.
The Organizing Committee has selected and compiled the seminar's sections from 139 presentations from domestic and foreign experts, researchers, lecturers and enterprises (Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, ...).
This is a valuable source of documents, both theoretical and practical, contributing to the orientation of sustainable development for the tourism industry in the context of global integration.
The presentations focus on five main groups of issues: Innovation and green management in tourism and hospitality; Sustainable tourism development; Technology application in tourism and hospitality; Destination, cultural heritage and tourist behavior; Policy and circular economy.

The discussion contents affirmed that the tourism trend is inevitable globally. The application of digital technology and innovation of the green governance model, towards a circular economy model, has received the enthusiastic attention of scholars and managers.

The workshop contributed to connecting Vietnam with the international research network on green tourism and circular economy, creating a stepping stone towards the goal of sustainable development of Vietnam and the ASEAN region, both preserving resources and promoting socio-economic growth and environmental responsibility.
