Chairman of the Russian State Duma begins official visit to Vietnam

    On the afternoon of September 28, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam.

    At the invitation of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and National Duma Chairman (lower house) of the Russian Federation National Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin, Mr. Volodin paid an official visit to Vietnam from September 28-29, 2025.

    This is Mr. Volodin's third visit to Vietnam as Chairman of the National Duma.

    This afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin will co-chair the 4th Session of the Vietnam - Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, the highest and first inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism between the National Assembly of Vietnam and a foreign legislative body.

    The visit contributes to strengthening cooperation between the National Duma of the Russian Federation in particular, the Russian Federation National Assembly in general and the National Assembly of Vietnam - one of the important contents of political cooperation in the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
