The Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has just issued a resolution to establish three affiliated schools on the basis of reorganizing the school's faculties.
The medical school was established on the basis of reorganizing the Faculty of Medicine with an organizational structure including principals, vice principals; scientific and training councils; functional departments (comprehensive management department, science - training - foreign affairs department, quality assurance department and examination); 30 departments; centers (Center for Family Doctor, Center for Advanced Clinical Imaging Training).
The School of Pharmacy was established on the basis of reorganizing the Pharmacy Department with an organizational structure including principals, vice principals; scientific and training councils; functional departments (comprehensive management department, science - training department - foreign affairs department, quality assurance department and multiple-choice exam); 12 departments.
The Nursing - Medical Technology School was established on the basis of reorganizing the Department of Nursing and Medical Technology with an organizational structure including principals, vice principals; scientific and training councils; functional departments (comprehensive management department, science - training - foreign affairs department, quality assurance and testing department); 8 departments; Center for Nursing - Medical Technology skills training.
Thus, in addition to the 3 schools that have just been established, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy currently has 4 faculties: Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Traditional Medicine, Faculty of Basic Sciences.
The school also has Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (3 facilities) with 11 functional rooms, 7 centers and 4 functional units.
