In Lai Chau province, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, from Km12-Km13 on Provincial Road 128 (through Ta Cu Nhe village, Lang Mo commune, Sin Ho district), landslides were particularly serious. This area is still experiencing landslides, and authorities have not been able to approach and handle the incident.
In addition, the entire route from the center of Sin Ho district to Chan Nua commune (sin Ho district) and vice versa is completely blocked. Vehicles, especially cars, cannot circulate in this area. The landslide situation causes many difficulties and poses a potential safety risk to people when traveling.
In addition, at Km7+800 on Provincial Road 131 (from Then Sin Commune, Tam Duong District to Sin Suoi Ho Commune, Phong Tho District), a landslide also occurred, and the road is currently blocked. According to information from the road management unit, the route is expected to reopen at 7:00 p.m. (June 10).
Lai Chau Provincial Police recommends that people and vehicles should not move through the above affected routes until further notice.

Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are nearly saturated (over 85%) or have reached a saturated state.
In the next 3-6 hours, the Northern provinces will continue to have rain with common accumulated rainfall from 10-40mm, some places over 60mm.
In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many districts of Muong Te, Nam Nhon, Phong Tho, Sin Ho, Tam Duong, Tan Uyen, Than Uyen, Lai Chau City.
