On June 29, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded the decision to receive and appoint Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat to hold the position of Rector of Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University.
According to the decision, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat was appointed to hold the position of Rector of Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University with a term of 5 years.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat, 49 years old (formerly from Binh Duong), has worked at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy since 2003. He has held many management positions such as Deputy Head of the Training Management Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Deputy Head of the Department of Pathology, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Laboratory and Vice Rector in charge of professional matters.
In August 2023, he was assigned to be in charge of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy. In October 2024, he was recognized by the Minister of Health as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy for the 2020-2025 term.
