Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh was born in 1970 in Hanoi. He graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Science (Vietnam National University-HCM), a master's degree in Educational Sciences from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Manchester (UK).
Before being appointed, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh was the Director of the Center for Testing and Quality Assessment of Training, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).
He has many years of experience in the field of training and higher education management and has held many positions at VNU-HCM such as: lecturer of the Faculty of Chemistry, Ho Chi Minh City University (now the University of Science, VNU-HCM), Deputy Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Deputy Head of the Department and later Head of the Department of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education, Deputy Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation VNU-HCM.
In addition, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh is currently the chief evaluator of the ASEAN University Network, an education quality accreditor.
According to VNU-HCM, the appointment of Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh as Vice Rector of the International University is expected to contribute to improving management capacity, promoting training, scientific research and international integration of the school.
