Ho Chi Minh City University of Law notes that students need to be vigilant against strange calls and messages to avoid being scammed.

On March 13, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law said that it had recorded a number of cases of students receiving calls or messages from strange phone numbers, impersonating school identities to threaten, request personal information or commit acts against regulations.

According to the school, these subjects can make excuses related to tuition, tuition fees, student discipline... to cause confusion and then commit fraud.

Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law warns students not to provide personal information or bank accounts when receiving requests from strange phone numbers.

In case you receive calls or messages from a strange phone number, calmly verify the information through official channels before taking any action.

At the same time, immediately report to the school or authorities if you discover signs of fraud.

If students encounter sudden difficulties in life, in studying,... needing material and spiritual support..., they can contact the school to consider helpful solutions.

Recently, many universities have also issued notices about fraud tricks, in order to appropriate the assets of students and trainees.

At the end of 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry said that it had received feedback about some subjects impersonating lecturers of the school, asking students to transfer money to personal accounts to pay tuition fees to help students get a fee exemption.

At that time, the University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City also informed students, raising their vigilance against fake information and scams after fake information appeared about the invitation to an international student exchange meeting recorded by this school.
