According to the High School for Educational Sciences (under the University of Education - Vietnam National University, Hanoi), candidates use personal information and registration numbers to look up results on the school's website.
For candidates who reach the quality assurance threshold (60 points), candidates follow the website to carry out online admission confirmation and enrollment (expected to be announced from June 1, 2026).
Candidates who have not reached the quality assurance score threshold of these admission rounds will be transferred to the admission round using the entrance exam results of the Department of Education and Training or the exam results for specialized high schools under Vietnam National University, Hanoi (expected admission at the end of June 2026).

In the 2026-2027 school year, the High School for Science and Education enrolls 400 targets, targeted students completing secondary school level nationwide.
The admission results are appraised by the Admissions Council and taken in order from highest to lowest until the quota is used up.
The school enrolls students by the following methods:
Direct admission: According to regulations on priority subjects recognized for direct admission by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training for the 2026-2027 school year
Academic score (maximum 25 points): Based on academic results of grades 6, 7, 8 (Good score is 5 points, Fair score is 4 points, Achievement is 3 points) and semester 1 of grade 9 (Good score is 10 points, Fair score is 8 points, Achievement is 6 points).
Subject score (DM - maximum 40 points):
Based on the average score of Math, Literature and English subjects in grades 6, 7, 8 and the first semester of grade 9.
Grade 6 GPA = (Math GPA + Literature GPA + English GPA)/3
7th grade GPA = (Math GPA + Literature GPA + English GPA)/3
8th grade GPA = (Math GPA + Literature GPA + English GPA)/3
HK1 entrance exam for 9th grade = (Math TBT + Literature TBT + English TBT)/3
DMH = 6th grade DMH + 7th grade DMH + 8th grade DMH + 9th grade HK1 DMH
Aptitude score (maximum 25 points):
Based on competency assessment (60 minutes - 18 points) and interview (maximum 5 minutes - 7 points)
