Pham Huyen Dieu - a 12th grade student at Gia Vien A High School (Ninh Binh) - is also concerned about choosing and registering aspirations for university admission this year.

I hope the Ministry of Education and Training and schools will provide a complete information system, regularly updated on benchmark scores, targets and competition ratios. In particular, if there is software to simulate admission possibilities based on expected scores, we will be more confident" - Huyen Dieu said.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - advisor on training and quality assurance, standing member of the Admissions Council, Thang Long University - said that limiting the number of registered aspirations of candidates has many positive aspects such as: Optimizing the admission process, creating convenience, reducing virtual aspirations.

Restricting aspirations also helps students be more conscious and responsible in choosing. Students not only register many aspirations to have the opportunity to be admitted, but also need to rely on their abilities, interests, values and career goals to proactively choose a career. From there, they will have motivation to study and develop their expertise in the long term" - Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha analyzed.

Candidates need to choose wisely

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha advises candidates to choose professions and universities that have had strong innovations in training programs, updating in-depth professional knowledge suitable for the labor market, especially programs that have updated digital technology.

In addition, students should choose universities that apply a training method with 3 pillars: School, business and manager, in which promote training accompanying businesses.

These are key points to help students gain professional competence, digital technology mastery, entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and necessary skills in the digital age (critical thinking, problem-solving ability, teamwork skills, lifelong learning) to confidently enter the labor market" - Ms. Ha emphasized.

Dr. Nguyen Phi Long - Head of Training Department, Vietnam Women's Academy - said that the selection of admission aspirations needs to be based on 3 factors: Personal learning ability (including academic results and strengths in admission subjects); Personal interests, desires and career orientation; Admission ability, based on the benchmark scores of previous years and the competitiveness of the industry and school.

In addition, candidates should also refer to the human resource needs of the industry in the coming years to make a suitable choice.

The highest aspiration should be the major and training institution that meets the balance between abilities, personal desires, admission ability and career prospects in the future" - Mr. Long assessed.
