Order of aspirations for Pedagogy in 2026
In the 2026 Enrollment Regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that if registering for admission to pedagogical majors (including university and preschool college degrees), these aspirations must be ranked in the first 5 aspirations on the enrollment system. If candidates apply for a pedagogical major from the 6th aspiration onwards, the system will not consider admission, even if the candidate's exam score reaches a high level.
This is something to pay special attention to to avoid losing the opportunity to apply for admission just because the aspiration arrangement is not suitable.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training, said that for teacher training programs supported by the state's training budget, candidates need to clearly define career goals through setting priority aspirations.
This also reduces the pressure for pedagogical universities to accurately determine the number of students enrolled to enjoy the budget and determine their positions after graduation," he said.
Pedagogy continues to increase in attractiveness
Bui Thi Le Quyen - a student of Lac Son Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School (Phu Tho) - is 1 of more than 4,800 candidates who just participated in the aptitude test for admission to Hanoi National University of Education in 2026.
Le Quyen said that she aims to study preschool education for many reasons, including the policy of supporting tuition fees and monthly living expenses.

Policies for teachers will create more motivation for us to pursue the profession" - Le Quyen said.
Regarding the admission method, Quyen plans to use high school graduation exam results combined with aptitude test scores. The female student said that she participated in the Math, Literature, Physics and Chemistry exams, in which she used Math and Literature scores for admission.
If I am not admitted to Hanoi National University of Education, I will register for admission to Hanoi National University of Education 2" - Le Quyen said.
The university benchmark score picture in 2025 shows that the Pedagogy group belongs to the top majors with the highest benchmark scores. Many majors require candidates to achieve 30 points to have a chance of passing.
The benchmark score for Pedagogy majors has increased, which is predicted by experts. In the context of the policy of treating teachers being increasingly concerned, and teachers' lives being improved, it is predicted that Pedagogy majors will continue to be hot majors in this year's enrollment season.
