On December 30, leaders of Khanh Hoa Medical College said that the school has reported and proposed to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to approve the policy of repairing and renovating the degraded dormitory, and at the same time deploy phase 2 of the new headquarters project.
This is the latest development related to the content reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper through the article "Khanh Hoa Medical College is slow to receive 2 hundred-billion VND projects, degraded works".
Talking to reporters, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Principal of Khanh Hoa Medical College said that from March 2025, the school has officially moved to a new headquarters in Hon Nghe village (now belonging to Tay Nha Trang ward), and also received the facilities of the dormitory area.
However, due to the project being vacant for a long time, without managers, many items at the new headquarters and dormitory have deteriorated.
Faced with this situation, the school has issued a written report and requested an investment policy to repair and renovate some damaged items in the dormitory area.

According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, currently, the demand for student registration in dormitories is very large. The school hopes that the repair will be approved soon so that the project can be put into use, avoiding waste of facilities.
According to the inspection conclusion recently announced, the Khanh Hoa Medical College project (phase 1) was accepted and completed on April 27, 2018, with a total investment of more than 100 billion VND.
In 2020 and 2021, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee repeatedly issued documents directing and requesting the school to urgently relocate and receive the new headquarters. However, this was not implemented on schedule.
It was not until January 2025 that Khanh Hoa Medical College completed the relocation and officially operated at its new headquarters in Hon Nghe village.
The Inspectorate of Khanh Hoa province determined that the delay in receiving and putting the project into use is the main reason for the degradation of house and land facilities.
Explaining in October 2025, Khanh Hoa Medical College said that the slow relocation stems from many objective reasons such as: Waiting for additional funding to repair and renovate some items; unstable organizational work, changing many generations of leaders; the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only is it slow to receive the headquarters, the school has also not received the dormitory project, although this project has been accepted since 2014.
The Khanh Hoa Medical College dormitory project, invested by the Department of Health, was approved in 2009 with an initial total capital of 65 billion VND. After that, the project was adjusted to 77 billion VND in 2010 and continued to be adjusted to 80 billion VND in 2015.
