On April 28, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province submitted a document to the Provincial People's Council proposing to issue a Resolution deciding on the policy of converting forest use to other purposes to implement the San Ho Garden Resort Project, Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District.
This project has a total area of over 48 hectares invested by Vinh Hy Coral Park Joint Stock Company with the goal of building a standard resort eco-tourism area (5 stars) to attract tourists, providing high-quality services combined with Nui Chua National Park tourism.
In phase I, the investor will build 35 Bungalows; 1 5-star restaurant; office area; parking lot and other auxiliary works. In phase II, 40 luxury villas, souvenir exhibition areas and other auxiliary works will be built.
Of the total 48 hectares of the project, the investor determined the need to change the purpose of use to 8.1778 hectares, including: Special-use forest land 8.1712 hectares (39954 hectares of natural forest, unforested land 4.1758 hectares)...
The area proposed to decide on the policy of converting forest use to other purposes to implement the San Ho Garden Resort Project on Lines 3, 5, 11, Clause 9, Sub-area 148, Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District under the Forestry Administrative Service Sub-District managed by the Nui Chua National Park Management Board.
According to the approved investment policy, the total area for the San Ho Garden Resort Project is more than 48 hectares, of which the area of Vinh Hy Coral Garden Joint Stock Company determined to need to change the purpose of use to build architectural works and infrastructure is 8.1778 hectares.
For the remaining area as proposed in the project survey step, the Investor will keep the forest in its original state and not construct architectural works on this area. The remaining area within the project scope is determined to be used for ecotourism, resorts, and entertainment.
On that basis, Ninh Thuan province determined that the San Ho Garden Resort Project must comply with the project criteria of using a forest environment and the project criteria of urgently converting the purpose of using natural forests to other purposes.
