On October 21, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the People's Committee of the province has just issued a decision approving the investment project to build the Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan road (section Km2+327 to Km7+527), Son La city.
Accordingly, the project will be invested by the People's Committee of Son La city with the goal of completing the technical infrastructure system according to the planning, aiming at the criteria of a type I urban area; meeting the travel needs of the people, serving production, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
The project will build the main route (Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan section) with a total route length of about 5.13km. The starting point is at Km2+327 of the Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan - Huoi Hin route, at Ka Lap intersection, Chieng Ngan commune, Son La city. The ending point is at Km7+527 of the Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan - Huoi Hin route, at Ban Hip, Chieng Ngan commune.
The branch line (road to Phieng Bo Tong area, Chieng Ngan commune) has a length of about 0.85km. The starting point intersects with Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan - Huoi Hin road in Na Ngua village, Chieng Ngan commune. The end point is in Phieng Bo Tong area, Chieng Ngan commune.
The total investment of the project is 130 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance and resettlement support is 21.2 billion VND; the construction cost is 92.5 billion VND. The project implementation progress is from 2024-2027.
The project uses provincial budget. In the 2024-2025 period, it is expected to allocate 60 billion VND (30 billion VND from additional provincial budget; 30 billion VND from land revenue). In the 2026-2027 period, it is expected to allocate 70 billion VND from the provincial budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.
On the same day, according to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Chieng Sinh - Chieng Ngan road located in the suburbs of Son La city is currently a dual carriageway, with the road surface basically paved with asphalt and concrete.
Mr. Nguyen Van Viet (39 years old, residing in Son La city) shared that when they heard the news that the road was about to be upgraded and renovated, everyone was excited, hoping that the project would soon be implemented, creating a spacious appearance and promoting local economic development.
