Yen So Bus Station was started in early Q2/2025 with a construction area of 3,445 m2, a total floor area of 14,534 m2 located along Ring Road 3, about 5km from Nuoc Ngam Bus Station and Giap Bat Bus Station.
The project is built on an area of 27,500m2 with many auxiliary items. In particular, the highlight and also the main item is the 4-storey round building (3 floors above ground, 1 basement), with an area of 2,000 m2 with ticket sales, showroom for rent and fast food business.
This is also the first bus station in Hanoi with a basement design of about 5,000 m2 used as a parking lot for passengers.

Recorded at the end of October 2025, the basement of the bus station has basically taken shape. Currently, the contractor is installing the steel frame structure of the main building.
Other items such as tunnel entrance, operator house... are under construction. At the construction site, dozens of workers, engineers and many vehicles were mobilized.
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, Yen So Bus Station is oriented to be a bus station equipped with modern, automated, closed technology from the pick-up and drop-off areas, buses are waiting to pick up and drop off guests to the ticket sales area.
Most stages at bus stations will be automated, such as controlling vehicles coming and going, displaying information about the bus trip, departure time, passenger gate, or bus area, taxi area with reduced human resources for service and operation. Yen So Bus Station is expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2026.
However, many people who regularly travel through the Yen So Bus Station area are concerned about traffic conflicts and congestion on the Ring Road 3 service road when the bus station comes into operation.

Mr. Bui Dat (Hoang Mai ward) said: "This is the gateway road of Hanoi, the traffic volume is large while the road surface has not met the demand. When the bus station is in operation, the number of passenger buses entering and leaving each day is very large, there is a high possibility of frequent traffic conflicts".
According to the Project on planning bus stations and parking lots in Hanoi by 2030 with a vision to 2050 being prepared by the Department of Transport, Yen So bus station is planned as a medium-term inter-provincial bus station with the function of supporting and reducing the load on 3 bus stations: Giap Bat, Nuoc Ngam, Gia Lam.
When put into operation, Yen So Bus Station will receive inter-provincial passenger bus routes from Giap Bat, especially the routes to the South and is oriented to become a public transport transit center in the future.
