Appointing Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai as Head of the Transport Inspectorate

Hanoi - The Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced the decision to establish the Transport Inspectorate (GTVT) and appointed Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai as the department head.

According to Decisions No. 2456/QD-SXD, 2272/QD-SXD and 2293/QD-SXD, the Transport Inspectorate has a structure of 10 Teams, including 4 thematic teams and 6 regional teams, assigned to carry out inspection and supervision work throughout the city.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - former Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure Maintenance - was transferred and appointed to the position of Head of the Traffic Inspectorate.

The Transport Inspectorate has the function of conducting specialized inspections of organizations and individuals in compliance with legal regulations on roads, inland waterways and railways; inspecting specialized vehicles and construction equipment for transportation (except for vehicles serving national defense, security and fishing vessels).

At the same time, the unit is responsible for making records and recommending handling of administrative violations in the field of transportation according to the provisions of law.

In addition to the specialized tasks, the Traffic Inspectorate will coordinate with the City Police and local authorities in on-duty work, traffic flow, and traffic congestion prevention at key intersections, construction areas, as well as during major political and cultural events of the Capital.

The unit also participates in handling traffic incidents, ensuring traffic order and safety; coordinating with the Department of Construction Inspection and Fire Prevention and Fighting in fire prevention and fighting inspection; receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations related to the transport sector.

Along with that, the Department of Transport Inspectorate is responsible for advising the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Construction on the implementation, urging and synthesizing the implementation of decentralized and authorized tasks in the field of state management of transportation.

The establishment of the Traffic Inspectorate is considered an important step of the Hanoi Department of Construction to enhance state management capacity, improve coordination efficiency between functional forces, and contribute to ensuring order, safety and smoothness of the urban transport system.

This new force is expected to closely follow the field, respond quickly, and handle arising issues promptly, thereby effectively supporting the Hanoi Department of Construction in the management, operation and supervision of the capital's transport sector.
