On the afternoon of January 13, leaders of Thuan Hoa Ward People's Committee (Hue City) said that the locality has just issued a notice banning parking and trading on sidewalks on some key roads to restore urban order.
According to Thuan Hoa Ward People's Committee, this policy is part of the roadmap to build a model ward for urban order and civilization. Many parking lots have been arranged in the area, so the installation of signs prohibiting parking and trading on sidewalks aims to ensure urban aesthetics, traffic safety, and create favorable space for people and tourists to walk and visit.
Specifically, prohibition signs are placed on Hai Ba Trung street (right side, section from Hanoi street to Ngo Quyen street); Tran Cao Van street (right side, section from Hanoi street to Hai Ba Trung street).
In addition, the prohibition area is also applied on Le Loi street (section from Toa Kham boat wharf to the gate of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Park and the section from Phu Xuan bridge to in front of the Hue City People's Committee headquarters); Hanoi street (section from Tran Cao Van to Hai Ba Trung); area of Doan Huu Trung - Nguyen Truong To intersection, in front of Phu Cam Church.
Leaders of Thuan Hoa ward said that the locality is developing an additional notice to expand the scope of application in some sections of the route (not applying to areas in front of people's houses), and at the same time issue specific instructions on parking locations at parks and public works along both sides of the road.
Thuan Hoa Ward People's Committee requests people not to use sidewalks and roads for business purposes, not to stop or park cars at locations where prohibition signs have been erected. The time for propaganda, mobilization and reminders is from January 10 to 20, 2026; after this time, violations will be handled according to regulations.
People can park their vehicles at parking lots near prohibited areas such as Hue Central Hospital, Kim Dong Park, park area near Phu Xuan bridge, parking lot near Truong Tien bridge, Toa Kham wharf and nearby legal parking lots.
