At noon on September 3, excavators and dump trucks were mobilized to the landslide site to overflow to km205+300 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway to continue handling the amount of sand along the road.
The drainage ditch on the side of the highway is flooded with sand and soil with rainwater.

The truck scooped up soil and sand from the drainage ditch and poured them onto the dump truck to transport them. The route management unit has placed warning signs for vehicles to enter the remaining lane.

Recorded at the scene, there were signs of landslides on the elevated sand plot, the flow was carrying the sand and soil that overflowed onto the embankment and poured onto the highway.
This location has many rocks that have been disrupted by strong currents.

This area is a large sandbank, extending inwards. Some locations on the sandbank have uneven surfaces, not flat surfaces. Some places still have rainwater.

The location of the expressway is low compared to the slope on both sides. While the slope at this location is natural stone soil, not concrete.
Sand and soil from the elevated beach can easily follow the accumulated rainwater flow, naturally overflowing onto the road surface on the slope.

Also at noon on September 3, leaders of Ham Liem Commune People's Committee and professional departments inspected the landslide scene and discussed solutions.

As Lao Dong reported, at around 10:10 p.m. on September 2, at km215+300 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, through Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province, rainwater and sand overflowed onto the North - South road surface.
The incident lasted for about 100m, half a meter thick, occupying the entire road.

The Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) temporarily closed the road on the side of the incident at Ma Lam intersection, regulating vehicles out of the highway.

The expressway management unit mobilized workers to the scene, using scrapers and excavating the layer of soil and sand dumped on the roadside.
By 1:00 a.m. on September 3, the cleaning work was completed. Traffic police have opened checkpoints to allow vehicles to continue traveling on the highway.
