Launching a general review and handling
On April 6, leaders of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Lam Dong Police said that the unit is coordinating with local police to deploy a general inspection and review of trucks and dump trucks with a tonnage of 15 tons or more throughout the province.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, said that this is a general review implemented under the direction of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and the plan of the Provincial Police.
The unit is mobilizing maximum forces, vehicles, and professional equipment in coordination with local police to deploy.
Through review, there are currently nearly 1,300 trucks and dump trucks operating in the transportation business in Lam Dong province. These are vehicles mainly serving the transportation of construction materials, leveling ground and goods.

These vehicles regularly circulate on national highways, provincial roads and mountainous areas, posing many risks of traffic unsafety.
Through review, functional forces determined that in some difficult areas, far from the center, violations still exist such as: arbitrarily expanding truck beds, illegally converting vehicles to increase tonnage; vehicle owners do not carry out procedures for transferring ownership.
In addition, many vehicles have not installed or do not maintain the operation of journey monitoring devices; use horns and lights in violation of regulations; even in some cases vehicles have expired their service life but still circulate.
Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, requested the traffic police force with the main role to seriously implement the plan of the Traffic Police Department; strictly inspect in accordance with regulations, and at the same time not interrupt the business activities of organizations and individuals.
Within 15 days, the general review of dump trucks must be completed to effectively manage transport business operations in accordance with legal regulations," Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu emphasized.
Strict inspection, strict handling
According to the leader of the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Police Department, in the general inspection, the unit will focus on business owners, transport cooperatives, vehicle owners and drivers. Through this, fully verify the information of vehicle owners and drivers.

The forces will check the technical condition and size of the truck bed to detect acts of illegal expansion and renovation; inspect the installation of license plates and conversion to yellow-based license plates for transport business vehicles," Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep said.
The inspection of the horn system, lights, and vehicle lifespan is also carried out strictly; and at the same time, the installation and operation of journey monitoring devices and driver image recording devices are inspected.
For vehicles that have been transferred ownership but have not been transferred, the police force will guide the completion of dossiers according to regulations. Vehicles that are not operating in the area are also coordinated for verification to avoid omissions.

In parallel with inspection work, functional forces promote propaganda, disseminate laws, and guide vehicle owners and drivers to raise awareness of compliance.
In case of non-serious violations, rectification will be requested within 7 days; resolutely and strictly handle cases of intentional non-compliance.
Lam Dong Provincial Police recommends that businesses, cooperatives and individuals with vehicles subject to review should proactively coordinate, provide information, and create conditions for functional forces; and at the same time, proactively inspect and remedy violations, ensuring vehicles meet the conditions for participating in traffic.
