Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police issued a fine for a tanker truck going in the wrong direction

The Northwest Traffic Police Station, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department invited the tanker driver who was going in the wrong direction to come up and make a record and impose a fine according to regulations.

On the morning of October 27, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Northwest Traffic Police Station, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police) said that they had invited the tanker driver going in the wrong direction on Provincial Road 8, Cu Chi District, to come up and make a record and impose a fine according to regulations.

The leader of the Northwest Traffic Police Station provided more information. Immediately after receiving information from people about the tanker truck going in the wrong direction on Provincial Road 8, the Station's Traffic Police force quickly took action to verify.

Upon verification, the driver of this tanker truck was Mr. N.V.T (47 years old, from Long An). At the Tay Bac Traffic Police Station, Mr. T admitted to the violation.

"I am also very upset about the reckless behavior of this tanker driver. This driver was driving in the wrong direction for about 50 meters. I have directed the Northwest Traffic Police to quickly investigate and handle the case strictly according to regulations." - said the leader of the Northwest Traffic Police Station.

Previously, social media circulated a clip recording a concrete mixer truck driving in the wrong direction on Provincial Road 8, through Cu Chi Town, Cu Chi District. At the time of the violation on the morning of October 26, there were many vehicles passing by. The reckless behavior of the truck driver endangered road users and caused public outrage.

For this violation, Mr. T was issued an administrative violation ticket, fined 6 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for up to 4 months.
