On March 20, Da Nang City People's Committee announced that it had just issued Decision No. 982/QD-UBND dated March 19, 2026 approving the list of public passenger transport route networks by bus in the city.
Accordingly, the bus route network is built including 4 main groups: inter-provincial routes, routes connecting communes and wards, specialized routes serving tourism - transfer and inter-provincial routes. The approval aims to gradually complete the public passenger transport system, meet people's travel needs, and strengthen inter-regional connectivity and serve tourism development.
Specifically, the inter-provincial route network includes 35 routes, of which many existing routes continue to be exploited and routes are adjusted such as: Hoi An - Da Nang Airport; Da Nang Airport - Ba Na Hills; Xuan Dieu - Southern Bus Station; Da Nang Airport - Vietnam-Korea University; Hoa Hiep Nam Apartment Complex - Bien Dong Park... In addition, some routes serving tourism, connecting important destinations such as Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang, Hiep Duc - Vinpearl Nam Hoi An are also maintained.
Notably, the city plans to open many new routes to expand the service area, such as: Xuan Dieu - My Son; Xuan Dieu - Que Son Bus Station; Dong Giang - Bac Quang Nam; Tam Thanh - Phu Ninh; Nam Giang - Dai Loc; Dong Giang - Nam Giang - Kham Duc... Thereby strengthening access to public transport to suburban and mountainous areas.
For routes connecting commune and ward centers and specialized bus routes (shuttle buses, serving tourism), the city will deploy when there is a practical need and proposal from the locality or investor.
In addition, the network also includes inter-provincial routes such as Da Nang - Hue, Tam Ky - Quang Ngai, contributing to strengthening traffic links in the Central region.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to publicly announce the list of routes, organize investment attraction, and develop a plan to select operating units according to regulations. In the process of implementation, the Department is responsible for monitoring and proposing adjustments and supplements to the route network in accordance with reality, ensuring good service for people's travel needs.
