Decisive from the beginning of the year, completely removing bottlenecks
On the first day of 2026, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Pham Duc An directly inspected the progress of the Van Ly bridge and access road project, along with the National Highway 14B intersection project with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway. These are all key traffic projects, playing a regional connection role, having a long-term impact on the socio-economic development of the city.
The Van Ly bridge project has a total investment of 575 billion VND, and has now reached about 54% of its value. The Thu Bon river overpass section has been completed, the lighting system has been installed synchronously; many access road sections are being accelerated, striving to pave asphalt concrete before the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
However, site clearance work still has some obstacles, especially in sections passing through Dai Loc and Dien Ban Tay communes. Directly directing at the construction site, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee emphasized:
This is a very important project, so units must focus highly, fundamentally and long-term remove difficulties, especially in site clearance and resettlement arrangement for people, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and creating social consensus.
Infrastructure goes one step ahead, expanding development space
At the National Highway 14B intersection project with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, started at the end of December 2025 with an investment of more than 537 billion VND, contractors are urgently cleaning up the ground, constructing service roads, relocating technical infrastructure and organizing safe traffic diversion. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2027, contributing to solving the prolonged traffic unsafety situation at the western gateway of the city.
Assessing the role of dynamic transport projects, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - Chairman of Thang Truong Commune People's Committee - said: "When infrastructure is invested synchronously, regional connectivity will be much better. Reality shows that many investors have been and are coming to this area, creating more jobs, increasing income and improving people's lives.
Along with dynamic transportation projects, at the end of December 2025, Da Nang started the Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park Project with a scale of 346ha, total investment of more than 3,373 billion VND. With the orientation of developing green industry, high-tech industry and environmentally friendly, the project is expected to become a new growth pole of the city's East.
According to representatives of local authorities, the groundbreaking ceremony of Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park not only expands the industrial development space, but also creates tens of thousands of jobs, contributing to economic restructuring and increasing budget revenue.
Not only transportation and industrial park development, Da Nang also focuses on investing in projects to improve the quality of living space. The project to renovate and upgrade 29 March Park with a total investment of nearly 673 billion VND is being urgently constructed. According to Mr. Truong Quoc Dung - Project Commander, contractors have proactively increased shifts and adjusted construction measures to overcome weather impacts and ensure overall progress.
We identify this as a project with long-term significance in terms of landscape, environment and urban quality of life, so we will make the highest efforts to complete it according to plan," Mr. Dung affirmed.
With wide development potential after the merger, along with the determination to accelerate public investment right from the beginning of the year, Da Nang is gradually completing infrastructure, unlocking resources and creating a solid foundation for sustainable growth in the new period.
