On October 31, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment project to build the project to renovate and upgrade sidewalks on a number of roads in Son La city.
Accordingly, the project will be invested by the People's Committee of Son La city with the goal of urban embellishment, synchronizing technical infrastructure, developing a "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" urban area, contributing to the completion of urban criteria.
The project will upgrade and pave sidewalks; replace and add curbs and tree beds; dredge and repair longitudinal ditches and some other items on 4 routes including: Tran Dang Ninh Street - to the end of Le Duan Street; Cach Mang Thang 8 Street; Thanh Nien Street; Le Duc Tho Street, with the following scale:
Route 01 - Tran Dang Ninh Street to the end of Le Duan Street: Total route length is about 11.38km, the starting point of the route is at the Quyet Thang intersection, the ending point of the route is at the Son La city bypass intersection.
Route 02 - Cach Mang Thang 8 route: Total route length is about 0.405km, starting point is at the intersection with To Hieu street, ending point is at the intersection with Chu Van Thinh street.
Route 03 - Thanh Nien route: Total route length is 0.375km, the starting point of the route is at the intersection with Chu Van Thinh street, the end point of the route ends at the residential area adjacent to To Hieu high school.
Route 04 - Le Duc Tho route: Total route length is 1.673km, the starting point of the route connects to 3/2 street at Dien Luc intersection, the end point of the route ends at the end of Le Duc Tho street (in residential area group 14, Quyet Thang ward).
The total investment of the project is 108 billion VND, including: Construction cost is more than 96 billion VND; Project management cost is more than 1.2 billion VND; Construction investment consulting cost is 4.4 billion VND; Other costs are nearly 892 million VND; Contingency cost is 5.1 billion VND.
The project uses the provincial budget. The 2021-2025 period is 30 billion VND (from the unallocated capital in Resolution No. 278/NQ-HDND dated December 19, 2023 of the People's Council of Son La province on adjusting and allocating the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period from the local budget - phase 11); The 2026-2030 period is 78 billion VND. The project implementation progress is from 2025-2028.
On the same day, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters noted that the above-mentioned routes are all located in densely populated areas of Son La City. Many sidewalks have shown signs of deterioration and damage.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (35 years old, residing in Son La city) shared that she hopes the project will soon be implemented to create a spacious appearance and promote local economic development.
