On February 25, according to the Da Nang City Department of Construction, from mid-February, Lam Dong province will implement a new traffic diversion plan to thoroughly handle inadequacies in the system of signs and signals and reduce traffic pressure for the core urban area, especially Xuan Huong ward.
Specifically, for trucks with a tonnage of 3.5 tons or more, during the time frame from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, vehicles must move on fixed routes on the outskirts such as National Highway 20, 27C, Dankia Lake area or the Southern Ring Road (An Ton).
For trucks weighing 1.5 tons or more moving through the center during rush hour through roads such as: To Hien Thanh - Tran Hung Dao - city flower garden; or Hoang Dieu - Pasteur - Sam Tuyen Lam pass to the foot of Prenn pass.
Specifically for passenger cars with 29 seats or more (excluding buses), vehicles traveling into the central area such as Hoa Binh, Le Dai Hanh, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia... must strictly comply with 4 mandatory routes to avoid causing traffic conflicts at narrow intersections.
Due to the large volume of vehicles transporting passengers and goods from Da Nang to Lam Dong, the Da Nang City Department of Construction requests Transport Associations, Tourism Associations and bus station management units to immediately disseminate this content to drivers and business owners.
Grasping the new route is mandatory for units to proactively adjust transportation plans, avoiding the situation of vehicles being confused or violating when entering prohibited roads and prohibited hours.
To make the plan effective in practice, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province is coordinating with relevant units to urgently install additional no-entry signs and time signs at key gateways and intersections.
Functional agencies request drivers and transport operators to strictly comply with the instructions of traffic control forces. Difficult and problematic cases in the implementation process should be promptly reported to the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Construction for appropriate handling and adjustment plans.
