The Hong Ha bridge construction investment project started in October 2025, an important item of Ring Road 4 - Capital Region with a length of about 6km across the Red River, connecting Dan Phuong district and Me Linh district (formerly), now O Dien commune and Me Linh commune (Hanoi City). The total investment of the project is nearly 10,000 billion VND.
According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed after about 3 years of construction. When put into operation, Hong Ha bridge will contribute to strengthening traffic connections and promoting socio-economic development in the North of the Capital.

Currently, contractors are deploying many items such as drilling bored piles, constructing abutment and steel girder structures. Dozens of construction teams with more than 200 equipment and machinery are operating on the entire route.
According to Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - chief engineer of the Hong Ha bridge project, the unit is currently mobilizing about 30 construction teams with nearly 500 engineers and workers to carry out the items of drilled pile foundation and abutment structure. With the current progress, the project is exceeding the plan by about 5 months.
Up to now, 600/941 bored piles have been constructed and 30 bridge piers have been completed. The entire project site has been handed over. The goal is to complete the entire bridge pier system in 2026," Mr. Khoa said.
Representatives of Chung Chinh contractor (the unit constructing the pillars in the middle of the river) said that the bidding package has completed the bored pile item and is deploying the construction of the bridge pier body. Construction on the Red River faces many difficulties due to complex hydrological and flow conditions. However, the unit has adjusted construction measures to ensure progress.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Dinh - Managing Director of the contractor said that the unit sets a goal to complete all river-based items before the minimum flood season in 2026.
Hong Ha bridge is one of the key traffic projects being focused on by Hanoi City to complete the framework infrastructure system of Ring Road 4, contributing to expanding urban space and reducing traffic pressure in the central area.
