40m wide road connecting two districts of Hanoi before opening month
HỮU CHÁNH |
Hanoi - The Le Quang Dao extended road project connecting Nam Tu Liem district with Ha Dong is nearing completion, expected to open to technical traffic on October 10 after nearly 2 years of construction.
The project is about 2.6 km long, starting at the intersection with Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem district, and ending at Duong Noi urban area, Ha Dong district.
The project has a total investment of more than 700 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 408 billion VND.
According to the design, the route will have inter-regional road standards, a cross-section of 40m with 6 lanes, and a design speed of 60 km/h. The section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) will have a cross-section width of 100m.
The representative of the investor - Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that to implement the Le Quang Dao extended road project, about 11.86 hectares must be reclaimed. Currently, the problem of site clearance has been resolved.
To complete the project on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10), the investor has recently directed the contractor to mobilize maximum machinery, workers, and engineers to work in 3 shifts continuously to ensure the project's progress.
However, before and after storm No. 3 Yagi made landfall in Hanoi, heavy rain made construction difficult.
It is expected that when the project is completed, it will help shorten travel time between Nam Tu Liem and Ha Dong districts, reduce traffic pressure on many routes such as To Huu and Sa Doi, and connect many urban areas in the west of the city such as Duong Noi, Louis City, and FLC Premier.
