Right from 7 am on April 28th, Nguyen Trai - Nga Tu So street became crowded. At the intersection between Nguyen Trai and Khuong Dinh, traffic flows interspersed, making travel difficult.

Ms. Dang Van Lam (Thanh Xuan ward) shared: "This section is often congested because the flow of vehicles from Khuong Dinh turns left to turn around and cut across the flow of vehicles going straight on Nguyen Trai street. Passing through here is very hard, luckily there are functional forces standing to divert traffic, so it's a little better".
Due to the road being too crowded, many motorcyclists have to swerve through gaps, even climb onto the sidewalk to quickly escape the traffic jam.

At Nga Tu So intersection, pressure from the elevated Ring Road 2 rushed down, plus the amount of vehicles from below pouring in, causing traffic to always be tense. Similar congestion also occurred on Lang street, causing people to lose a lot of travel time.
In contrast to the crowded scene above, traffic on other main roads such as Tran Duy Hung, Huynh Thuc Khang, Thai Ha... is quite easy. Although vehicles are still crowded, there is no long traffic jam.
On Tran Duy Hung street, vehicles move at a stable speed. Openings or intersections on this street do not experience conflicts or congestion, helping people travel more conveniently.

According to the plan, workers will only go to work for 2 days (April 28 and April 29) before entering the April 30 and May 1 holidays lasting 4 days (from Thursday to Sunday). Because the two holidays are close together, many people have chosen to stay in the Capital during the ancestral anniversary to spend time returning to their hometowns or going out this weekend.
It is forecasted that from tomorrow afternoon and evening (April 29), the number of vehicles in Hanoi will increase. People are starting to flock to bus stations and gateways such as Phap Van - Cau Gie, bus station areas such as My Dinh bus station, Nuoc Ngam bus station... to return to their hometowns.
Functional agencies advise people to follow traffic news to choose reasonable travel times and routes, avoiding being stuck in the last day before the holidays.
