Hanoi restored two-way traffic on Giap Nhat street from July 2nd after completing the drainage repair project.

From July 2nd, Giap Nhat street (Thanh Xuan ward) officially organized two-way traffic again after completing the project to repair the drainage system on Nguyen Trai street.

According to the announcement of the Hanoi Department of Construction, vehicles are allowed to travel in both directions on the section from the Giap Nhat - Nguyen Trai intersection to the Royal City bridge area.

The adjustment was made after the repair project of the drainage system on Nguyen Trai street, the section from Cu Loc intersection to To Lich river, was completed. Previously, Giap Nhat street was organized for one-way traffic to serve construction, affecting the travel of people in the area.

The Hanoi Department of Construction assigned the Hanoi City Technical Infrastructure Management Center to coordinate with relevant units to urgently dismantle barriers, recall temporary signs, and at the same time complete the system of painted lines, signs and instruction signs to ensure safe traffic organization according to regulations.

Along with that, bus routes passing through the area are also restored to their routes and stops as before the construction time, creating convenience for people's travel needs.

To limit congestion at the Giap Nhat - Nguyen Trai intersection in the early stages of implementing the new plan, the Traffic Police force will strengthen traffic diversion, guide vehicles, and strictly handle cases of illegal stopping and parking and encroachment on roads and sidewalks.

The restoration of two-way traffic organization on Giap Nhat street is expected to contribute to reducing pressure on nearby roads, while improving traffic connectivity and people's travel in the area.
