On March 28, the Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 1 coordinated to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Van Ha bridge connecting Van Ha ward and Kinh Bac ward.
The project is implemented in Van Ha ward, Kinh Bac ward, Bac Ninh province, invested by Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 1, including the main items being the bridge and road sections.
In which, the bridge section is more than 342 m long and 22m wide. The permanent bridge is designed with ordinary reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete along with accompanying items.
The road section is more than 268 m long, 22 m wide, and the road surface is 12m wide, filled with cement concrete, designed with horizontal and vertical drainage using round culverts and box culverts of reinforced concrete. Total investment of more than 360 billion VND from the provincial budget.
It is expected that the project will be completed and put into use in September 2027.
The completed project will create conditions to promote economic, cultural and social exchanges; make an important contribution to disaster prevention and control, rescue and relief when necessary... creating motivation for socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province.
Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, on September 10, 2024, when Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a working delegation came to inspect the flood situation and flood response work in Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province (now Van Ha ward, Bac Ninh province), people here petitioned the Prime Minister about building the Van Ha bridge across the Cau River connecting Bac Giang and Bac Ninh (old).
The Prime Minister has assigned the People's Committees of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces (old) to balance and allocate resources for construction and calculate designs that can be expanded later.
