Another deep flooding point on National Highway 1 through Lam Dong

Lam Dong - Floodwaters caused deep flooding at km1700 of National Highway 1, causing traffic congestion.

On the afternoon of December 4, km1700 of National Highway 1 through Ham Thang Ward, Lam Dong Province was flooded. This location is near Ben Loi Bridge.

Water from upstream caused by increased overflow from Song Quao Lake flows downstream, causing flooding.

According to records, the water was almost all over the truck's wheels. The flooded section is about 500m long. High-chassis cars, trucks, and tractors can move slowly through flooded areas.

However, motorbikes could not move through. Many motorbikes trying to pass were turned off.

In the afternoon, it was the peak time for workers and laborers to finish work, and when they returned to Ben Loi bridge, they could not move, so many people gathered on the road.

A local rescue crane helped move motorbikes and people onto a crane to get through the flooded area.

Previously, in early November, Song Quao Lake was overflowing due to prolonged heavy rain, which also caused flooding in this location.

Also on the afternoon of December 4, many areas in the downstream such as Ham Thuan commune, Ham Liem commune, Ham Thang ward were flooded. Water motorbikes have been set up to help evacuate people to safety.
