In the early morning of December 4, floodwaters combined with heavy rain from the evening of February 3 caused many areas near the Gop intersection in Hong Son commune, Lam Dong province to be heavily flooded.
Local people said that from 2:00 a.m. on December 4, rising water on National Highway 1, km1678 (Gop Threefall), made it impossible for many vehicles to travel.
After that, people in the deeply flooded area were evacuated to a safe place by authorities. According to records, in some places, people's houses were flooded up to half.

On the side of local authorities, they blocked the two ends near km1678 of National Highway 1 to regulate and prevent vehicles from passing.
People said that this was the first time that flooding on National Highway 1 occurred at the Gop intersection. High-chassis trucks were used to transport rescue forces through deeply flooded areas.
Water motorbikes were mobilized to the scene to support the evacuation of people. Some median strips are affected by strong deflections.
On the other hand, the area of National Highway 1 through Luong Son commune was also flooded, making it impossible for vehicles to travel.
