Timber truck overturned, road to La Lay International Border Gate blocked

    Quang Tri - A truck carrying wood overturned and blocked National Highway 15D, causing traffic congestion to La Lay International Border Gate.

    On the evening of February 12, the La Lay International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) confirmed that National Highway 15D to La Lay International Border Guard was congested because a truck was blocking the way.

    Previously, at around 4:40 p.m. the same day, a car with license plate 74H-006.xx pulling a trailer 74R-007.xx driven by driver Duong Van Nhat (born in 1975, residing in Quang Tri), traveling to Km6 of National Highway 15D, had an accident.

    After the accident, no one was injured, but the car was lying across Highway 15D, causing traffic congestion.

    Due to the darkness and narrowness of Highway 15D, rescue efforts were difficult. The vehicle involved in the accident was carrying a large amount of wood, so the release of the vehicle and cargo is not expected to be completed within the day.

    In early January 2025, a timber truck also had a similar accident on National Highway 15D, causing a long traffic jam on the road to La Lay International Border Gate.
