The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 24B through Quang Ngai has a length of 6.75km, from Km23+050 in Truong Quang Trong ward to Km29+800 in Son Tinh commune, with a total investment of more than 679 billion VND (central budget nearly 600 billion VND).

Of which, construction costs are about 300 billion VND, compensation for site clearance is nearly 280 billion VND, and the rest is contingency costs and other expenses. The project is invested by the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Implementation progress from 2023 to 2027, including the investment preparation phase in 2023 - 2025; investment implementation phase in 2025 - 2027.
This is a grade III delta road, design speed of 80km/h. The roadbed is 17.4m wide, with 4 lanes. The line adheres to the existing road center, expanding to both sides, the entire road surface structure is high-grade A1 asphalt concrete, prestressed reinforced concrete bridge.

Currently, the Project Management Board is focusing on inventorying and evaluating about 250 households with land and architectural structures located in the traffic safety corridor to mobilize dismantling and handover of land.
According to reporters' records, for more than 10 days, on National Highway 24B section passing through Son Tinh commune, households are urgently dismantling and relocating items and works within the scope of site clearance.
The construction unit also arranged machinery and vehicles to support cleaning, and soon have land to deploy items. On the entire route, there are more than 250 households building non-solid structures on the traffic safety corridor.
After being propagated and mobilized, up to now, most households have agreed to voluntarily dismantle and hand over the site. The investor sets a target to hand over about 70% of the site by the end of September, equivalent to 4.5/6.75km.

After 2 months of implementation, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 24B has reached nearly 10% of the construction value. The early arrival of the site will create conditions for contractors to accelerate construction, striving to complete the project by the end of 2027.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia - Deputy Head of Project Management Department 3, Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that thanks to the attention and involvement of local authorities, the Project Management Board has directed contractors to actively support people to dismantle and clean up houses, hand over land to deploy project construction. The goal is that by the end of September 2026, about 70% of the land on the entire route will be handed over to the construction unit.
