Hanoi - The Hoang Quoc Viet extended underpass - Ring Road 3 is proposed to be built 600m long, with an investment capital of more than VND1,400 billion to help reduce congestion and increase connectivity.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has just submitted to the City People's Committee a report proposing an investment policy to build an underpass on Hoang Quoc Viet Street extended with Pham Van Dong Street (Ring Road 3), connecting with Tran Vy Street (Cau Giay).
According to the Hanoi Department of Transport, the traffic volume on Hoang Quoc Viet and Ring Road 3 routes is constantly increasing.
Currently, traffic organization with existing intersections and traffic lights cannot meet the demand, so there must be a solution to open more traffic routes, synchronizing the ability to relieve traffic pressure of Hoang Quoc Viet - Ring Road 3 intersection with adjacent intersections.
At the above intersection, during rush hours, traffic congestion occurs, the level of dust and noise pollution is very high.
"Investing in the construction of the Hoang Quoc Viet underpass extended to Pham Van Dong Street and connecting to Tran Vy Street is in line with the orientation and planning of the Capital" - Hanoi's transport sector assessed and expected that when completed, the project will resolve conflicts and reduce traffic congestion.
