On August 18, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) announced that it will organize the inauguration of the project to repair the runway and taxiway of Lien Khuong International Airport on the morning of August 19.

This is a milestone in restoring all aviation operations at Lien Khuong airport after the airport was temporarily suspended for 5 months to serve construction.
According to ACV, on August 19, Lien Khuong airport is expected to receive 28 flights.
The inaugural flight, flight number VN1380 of Vietnam Airlines from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, is scheduled to land at 7:05 am.

In the initial phase of resuming operation, the airport is expected to reach a frequency of 36-40 flights/day, serving about 6,800 passengers/day.
It is expected that in the last 4 months of 2026, the number of passengers through the airport will reach about 816,000.
Domestic routes connecting Da Lat with Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Vinh, Hai Phong and Can Tho are restored.

For international routes, the Da Lat - Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) route is expected to operate 4 flights/week.
The Da Lat - Singapore route is expected to resume operation from December 2026 with a frequency of 3 trips/week.
The resumption of operation of Lien Khuong airport is expected to create favorable conditions for Lam Dong to welcome passengers during the peak season at the end of the year.
This is the time when the province is preparing to organize many major events such as the 11th Da Lat - Lam Dong Flower Festival, the 3rd Vietnam Brocade Culture Festival and the Langbiang International Music Festival 2026.
The project to repair the runway and taxiway of Lien Khuong International Airport is invested by ACV, with a total capital of more than 1,000 billion VND.
The project repairs the entire runway 09/27, size 3, 250 x 45m, replacing the existing asphalt concrete structure with cement concrete structure.
At the same time, the taxiway system, the safety strip at the beginning of the runway and technical infrastructure items, and equipment to ensure flight operations were also repaired and upgraded.
