After 3 days of launching a peak campaign to ensure traffic order and safety (TTATGT) during the April 30 - May holiday and improve the effectiveness of handling violations according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, the Traffic Police (CSGT) force has handled more than 200 cases of drivers violating the Road Traffic Law.
Accordingly, in the past 3 days, working groups, including: Madaguoi Group, Group No. 7 (central area of Bao Loc City), Group No. 8 (Da Huoai District area) and Bao Loc Pass Group under Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Police) have organized patrols, control and handle traffic violations 24/24 hours.
Traffic police forces of the groups have focused on controlling and handling violations that are direct causes of high potential risks leading to traffic accidents such as:
Violating alcohol concentration, drivers with drugs in their bodies, speeding, overloading, avoiding going in the wrong lane, on the wrong side of the road, going in the wrong direction, stopping, or parking in the wrong place.
According to statistics, in the first 3 days of the campaign (from April 21 to 23), through inspection and control of the traffic police teams of Madaguoi Station, 212 cases of vehicle drivers violating traffic safety were detected and handled.
Thereby, the authorities have fined and collected more than 250 million VND to the State budget. Of which, there were 3 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 144 cases of speeding violations, 3 cases of reckless overtaking, the rest were other violations.
In addition to administrative sanctions, the authorities have also revoked the driving licenses of 3 cases and 22 cases with deducted points.
According to Madaguoi Traffic Police Station, the peak period will start from April 21 to May 20. Therefore, the unit will focus on mobilizing 100% of officers and soldiers of affiliated groups to participate in patrolling. In particular, Bao Loc Pass has always been focused on continuous inspection and control.
Also according to the Madaguoi Traffic Police Station, from April 1 to now, the unit has detected and handled 35 cases of car drivers overtaking in cases of no-overtaking occurring on Bao Loc Pass.
