After a period of slow construction, delayed waiting for approval to adjust the investment policy, currently, the coastal road construction project through Thai Binh province is being accelerated by the contractor to complete and open to traffic by the end of 2025.
According to records, these days, from early morning, hundreds of engineers, workers and vehicles, road rollers and excavators have been working hard at the project site. There is not much time left to finish, the remaining workload is very large, so dozens of construction teams have been arranged by the contractor along the entire route to ensure the progress of the entire project.
Mr. Bach Van Phe - a grinder driver at the Thai Binh coastal road project site - said: "In the past few days, although the weather has not been favorable, due to the project's progress, the workers have divided into 4 teams to work day and night, 3 shifts and 4 shifts in turn, working urgently, taking advantage of all the time they can to ensure the project's progress".
It is known that to ensure the progress of the project, the contractor has focused all equipment, machinery and over 200 engineers and workers to organize construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams day and night.

Up to this point, all bridge items on the route have been completed, the road section alone has been constructed with a road surface foundation of over 23 km, equivalent to 80% of the volume.
"We mobilized the brothers to stay at the construction site, work 3 shifts continuously, organize the rolling construction, and finish it wherever it is done," added Mr. Dang Van Du - a construction engineer of the Thai Binh coastal road project.
According to observations, along with completing the construction of the road surface foundation, the construction unit deploys the application of type 1 coated stone to always go there to prepare for the paving of layer 1 asphalt concrete. Wherever there are difficulties and problems at which stages will be resolved immediately, all top priorities will be given to the overall progress of the project.
Mr. Vu Van Toan - Construction Commander of the Thai Binh coastal road project - said: "Although the workload is still large, the contractor has devoted all resources, focused on speeding up the progress, determined to complete the project this year".
After the coastal route is completed, the time to travel by car from Thai Binh Economic Zone to Cat Bi International Airport and Lach Huyen International Port (Hai Phong City) will be shortened to only 60 minutes, to Mong Cai Border Gate (Quang Ninh Province) to 180 minutes. The project will connect the provinces of Nam Dinh - Thai Binh - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, contributing to promoting the economic development of the Northern coastal provinces and ensuring national security and defense.
