Key project invested by Geleximco Group
The Hung Phu Industrial Park infrastructure development investment project was approved by the Prime Minister in September 2024, with the investor being Geleximco Hung Phu Industrial Park Joint Stock Company (under Geleximco Group).
This project has been and is being implemented in Nam Hung commune (Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province) with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND.
At Hung Phu Industrial Park, which is being formed, the Omoda & Jaecoo brand automobile assembly and manufacturing factory, a joint venture between Geleximco Group and Chery Group (with an investment capital of 800 million USD), will break ground and begin construction in 2025.
When put into operation, the factory is expected to create more than 10,000 jobs, not only for simple workers, but also for highly skilled workers.
Speaking to Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Bui Tuan Anh - Vice Chairman of Tien Hai District People's Committee (Thai Binh Province) - said: "In the past time, implementing the direction of the provincial leaders, we have mobilized the entire political system to participate, making tireless efforts to implement the steps of site clearance and land recovery for the project. In phase 1, within just 35 days, relevant units of the district coordinated with Nam Hung Commune People's Committee to pay compensation and support to over 700 households whose land was subject to recovery. Most voters and people agreed and highly agreed."
People agree and highly support
From early morning on January 14, about 600 households of Nam Hung commune were present at the commune People's Committee headquarters to attend the conference on implementing phase 2 of site clearance work organized by the district and commune.
Most households expressed support for the province and district's policy on land recovery for the Hung Phu Industrial Park project.
Of which, nearly ten people presented their opinions and recommendations related to a number of contents such as: Implementing one-time compensation payment for land acquisition; publicly posting the area of land for people; land handover time; people receiving rice support and subsidies; during the project implementation, ensuring the environment and social security...
These opinions and recommendations have been received, guided and fully responded to by specialized agencies, local authorities and leaders of Tien Hai District People's Committee according to their authority.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phiem - Chairman of Nam Hung Commune People's Committee - said: "It can be said that the progress of land acquisition and clearance for the project is extremely "lightning fast". After the positive results in phase 1, it is expected that by January 20, more than 600 households will agree to receive payment for land acquisition and clearance for phase 2 with 109 hectares, with a total payment of over 240 billion VND".
According to the leaders of Tien Hai District People's Committee and Nam Hung Commune, with the results achieved in site clearance and land recovery in the past time, it is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, local authorities and investors will break ground and start construction of infrastructure for Hung Phu Industrial Park.
Soon after, the first automobile manufacturing and assembly factory will be built in the rice fields of Thai Binh.
