The project of the storm shelter area combined with Phu Quy fishing port - phase 2, a key project in Phu Quy Special Zone, is being accelerated.
According to the investor, the project will implement 3 main packages. Package No. 18 includes dredging anchorage mud, train lines, construction of embankment protection, installation of anchorage systems and lane signal signaling... Currently, nearly half of the volume has been reached and is expected to be completed before October 26, 2025.
Package No. 19 for the construction of technical infrastructure on the shore such as internal roads, water systems, management houses... reached 86.22% and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. Package No. 20 on equipment supply and installation has signed a contract and started construction from the end of June 2025.
At the construction site, dozens of workers, motorbikes and construction equipment are urgently working. The project has been allocated a total capital of more than 311 billion VND, the disbursement reached 272.5 billion VND - a high rate compared to the progress.
Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen highly appreciated the progress and quality of the project, and at the same time requested the construction units to speed up the progress, ensuring completion before September 30, 2025, earlier than planned.
The project phase 2 has a total capital of more than 446 billion VND, when completed, it will create a safe anchorage area for about 1,000 fishing vessels with a capacity of up to 600CV. This is a project that fishermen look forward to, contributing to ensuring safety for fishing vessels operating in far-off waters.
Previously, phase 1 with a total capital of more than 544 billion VND was completed, creating a 55ha anchorage area. The total investment for both phases is more than 900 billion VND from the central budget.
