The agreement opens up a direction for coordination between the development capacity of electrified cars and energy infrastructure, contributing to creating a synchronous foundation for the green transition process in transportation in Vietnam.
According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, the cooperation is implemented on the basis of the complementary strengths of both sides. Thanh Cong Group owns a platform of many years of experience in production and service provision in the automobile sector, with the capacity to produce automobiles according to international standards, along with a widespread distribution system across the country. The Group has been and is proactively implementing a strategy to shift the product range towards electrification, gradually expanding electrified car lines in the Vietnamese market.
Meanwhile, VGX - with a shareholder structure of Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Xuan Cau Holdings and Selex Motors - has the capacity to invest in and develop charging station infrastructure and energy solutions, aiming to build a synchronous energy infrastructure network at thousands of gas stations and rest stops nationwide.
The connection between the two sides is expected to create an additional energy infrastructure platform with wide coverage, meeting the needs of using electrified vehicles, towards a convenient, safe and cost-effective service ecosystem for users.
The two sides oriented the development of a charging station network at infrastructure belonging to the ecosystem and distribution system of Thanh Cong Group nationwide, as well as building preferential policies specifically for customers using vehicles distributed by Thanh Cong Group when using services at the VGX charging station system, thereby increasing convenience and creating favorable conditions in the process of using electrified vehicles.
