Duong Domic extends the story from "Lost Connection
Duong Domic is one of the prominent cases. At Live Stage 2, his team won with "My World", receiving 162 votes from studio audiences. The performance video then attracted millions of views on YouTube.
In the Final 1, Duong Domic chose "Tell me why" as a solo performance. He called this the "post-story" of "Lost Connection" and the starting point for the next musical journey.
If "Lost Connection" tells about the gap after a relationship, "Tell me why" continues the story with a journey to find a solution for feelings. Images such as equations, inertia or "squares of longing" are included in the lyrics.
The value Duong Domic receives is therefore not simply in ranking. "Tinh Ha Say Hi" becomes a space for him to continue experimenting with products and connecting songs into a personal music line.
buitruonglinh steps out of familiar territory
Buitruonglinh entered the program with the advantage of composing and love songs that created recognition. But the journey at "Tinh Ha Say Hi" set him before more requirements, from being a team leader, performing to trying his hand at other musical materials.
In Final 1, the male singer brought "Top 1 (In your eyes)" onto the solo stage. The idea originated from the fact that buitruonglinh had never topped the personal charts in the program, but "top 1" was later changed to a different meaning: each person can still be number one in someone's eyes.
After the solo part, buitruonglinh and Congb, Hurrykng and Jsol performed "Thêu hoa dệt gấm".
The performance takes ca tru as one of the central materials, while combining other folk elements. Buitruonglinh directly plays the monochord on stage.
If before the program he was easily recognized through lyrical songs, the experiments at "Tinh Ha Say Hi" helped broaden the image of buitruonglinh, from composing, performing to the ability to take on the role of captain.
Congb, Jsol have other types of "wins
Having been trained in Korea and participated in "Boys Planet", Congb has advantages in dance, expression and Kpop-colored performance style.
But in Final 1, he opened "Wait a minute..." with guitar, returning to one of his first compositions. After that, Congb stepped into the folk music space in "Thêu hoa dệt gấm".
The two performances show a wider Congb image than the performer's image of singing and dancing that the audience is familiar with.
Jsol again showed the role of fans in a more direct way. The male singer was once eliminated at Live Stage 4. In the subsequent round of voting, Jsol received 235,000 votes, ranking 6th overall. Because the 5 artists ranked above were still in the program, Jsol became the highest-ranked person in the eliminated group and won the right to return to the final.
In Final 1, Jsol performed "2179", taking on singing and dancing and being raised high in the middle of the stage without the support of a dancer.
Meanwhile, Hurrykng uses "1,000 questions" to tell the story of his mother and women in the family. This is a softer color than the rapper image that audiences are familiar with in him.
Quang Hung MasterD has a general advantage
If Duong Domic has more products that are noticed, buitruonglinh expands its image, Jsol shows the strength of fans, then Quang Hung MasterD enters the final with advantages in many aspects.
Although he has not performed solo in Final 1, Quang Hung has participated in a series of performances that create effects in the season. "50 missed calls", "Mong duyen", "Secret" have all achieved notable achievements in music charts.
Most recently, on September 9, "Laviem" by Quang Hung MasterD, Phap Kieu, CoolKid and Captain Boy reached No. 1 in Video YouTube Music Videos Daily in Vietnam, and also ranked No. 3 in Trending YouTube Music Charts.
Quang Hung also entered "Tinh Ha Say Hi" in a position different from many new artists. Previously, he was in the top 5 of "Anh Trai Say Hi" and was one of the faces with a strong increase in recognition after the program.
Therefore, the value he can receive from this season is not only the number of audiences he knows. The competition rounds also create opportunities for Quang Hung to consolidate the image of an artist with the ability to compose, produce music, perform and lead the team.
