Provincial Road 587 is the only road connecting the center of Huong Hoa district to the villages of ethnic minorities in Huc commune, which is in a state of severe damage, making it difficult to travel and transport goods and agricultural products.
Recorded in reality on the route about 18km long through Huc commune, a series of large and small "potholes", deep ditches on both sides of the road, the road surface is peeling for a long time. During the rainy season, this route seems to turn into a swamp, while during the dry season, it is dusty, causing the risk of accidents to always lurk.

"Dusty day is sunny, and slippery day is rainy. riding a motorbike can easily cause falls. I don't know how many times I fell while passing here" - Ms. Ho Thi An (Van Ri village, Huc commune) lamented.
As a teacher working at Huc Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thang shared that every day she teaches, she has to cross this road, many times her colleagues and students have fallen and their vehicles have been damaged.
According to the Government of Huc commune, provincial road 587 passing through the area currently has about 10 serious damage points, especially dangerous in the rainy season when the water from the mountains flows down the road, creating deep grooves and mud. The slippery sloping roads increased the risk of accidents.

Mr. Ho Van Mua - Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Huc commune said that the wish of the people and local authorities is that this road will soon be repaired and upgraded to ensure safety and convenience for travel and economic development.
In mountainous conditions, transportation is a vital factor for transporting goods, accessing educational and medical services and developing livelihoods. The prolonged deterioration of Provincial Road 587 not only causes inconvenience but also negatively affects the entire lives of hundreds of households in Huc commune. Local people hope that all levels and sectors will pay attention and soon have a plan to repair and renovate the road.
